You’ve probably heard of the 10,000 hour rule. As Malcolm Gladwell explains, it takes 10,000 hours of intensive practice to achieve mastery of complex skills and materials, like playing the violin or becoming a master cabinetmaker. Mark Davis started making cabinets when he was seventeen years old, and now has about 170,000 hours in building, drafting and designing cabinets along with supporting other cabinet designers and running a cabinet shop. Since expertise is what you need, when you design your kitchen, we are here to help. Ruth Davis probably got the 10,000 hours in color development for custom cabinets between 2009 and 2022. After working at another cabinetshop in North Utah County, Paige came back home to design here. Her seven years of working in the finish room on hundreds of custom finishes gave her a leg up, when it comes to finish and design. She also has a support base of three of her older sisters who have done the same. Design becomes intuitive when it has always been a part of discussions and life since you were born.
